Result of the AMM announced

*******STOP PRESS**********

Members will be aware that last night the CLP held a special All Member Meeting (AMM) on whether to replace the existing Delegate System with one of all member meetings. With a good turnout in excess of 60 people the vote was lost 35 votes to 26. Thanks to all who attended and contributed to democracy in action. It was a lively good natured debate with strong arguments on both sides.

This means that we will continue to have a delegate system in operation in Tunbridge Wells Labour. For the system to work effectively and for our delegates to represent your views we need a wider set of members to attend our branch meetings. If you haven’t been before but are interested in becoming more active to help labour locally please consider attending our next branch meeting on Tuesday 8 January or the next one on Tuesday 12 February being held in Rusthall.

All CLP meetings will remain open for all members to attend and there are some great speakers lined up over the next few meetings. Please come along and participate, all members are welcome.
